Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Product Manager to lead and support our spectroscopy portfolio across the UK and Ireland. This role focuses on benchtop Raman and Near-Infrared (NIR) technologies, as well as handheld Raman solutions from Metrohm. The position also supports process spectroscopy applications. It combines product management, applications expertise, and customer-facing activities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic and hands-on work.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and develop the spectroscopy product portfolio, including benchtop Raman, NIR systems, and handheld Raman instruments from Metrohm
· Support process spectroscopy solutions, including inline and at-line applications across a range of industries
· Deliver product demonstrations, customer trials, and technical presentations (in-person and virtual) across all product lines
· Provide application support to customers, including method development and optimisation using Raman and NIR technologies
· Support and promote handheld Raman solutions for field-based and rapid identification applications
· Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities and drive revenue growth
· Act as the technical expert during the sales process, including pre-sales support and solution positioning
· Develop and deliver training for internal teams and customers
· Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product strategy and development
· Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and industry events
· Work closely with global product teams, marketing, and R&D
Qualifications & Experience
· Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
· Strong background in chemometrics (highly preferred)
· Experience with Raman and/or NIR spectroscopy (benchtop systems essential; handheld Raman and process spectroscopy desirable)
· Familiarity with field-based or portable spectroscopy applications is advantageous
· Demonstrated experience in applications, product management, or technical sales roles
· Strong presentation and communication skills
· Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical customer solutions
· Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently across a regional territory
· Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland. Ideally located in the Northwest but not essential.

Territory
